La Jolla Beach Elopement Photography | San Diego, CA | Kim + Opie

When Kim, Opie, and I first met they described having their La Jolla Elopement cliffside and wanted it to be as guerrilla as possible.  I was totally down! 

On the wedding day, the bride got ready at her mom's home with friends and family but at the ceremony, it was just me, the groom's videographer best friend, Kim's brother who officiated, and the bride's best friend. 

Honestly, if I were to do it again I would elope.  It was so emotional and most of all romantic!  The sun was setting and reflected on the water as it slid softly across the La Jolla rocks.  Kim and Opie only saw each other as they were married.  The happiness just gleamed off of both of them.  Everything was perfect and I had a huge smile on my face the entire way home.  

The couple invited me back for their reception a couple of months later and we met at the Oak Canyon Nature Center for some more romantic photos.  The reception took place in the backyard of a family friend's home.  We ate, we danced and of course, embarrassing stories poured out about the couple from family and friends.  

The night ended with a viewing of their wedding video and photos.  After the video, there wasn't a dry eye there.  

Oh, Kim and Opie.... two of the most loving, generous people I have ever met!  I wish you two all the best!
